How to Bleed Brakes Without a Vacuum Pump: A Step-by-Step Guide
To bleed brakes without a vacuum pump, you will need a helper to push the brake pedal while you open and close the bleed valves. Begin by filling the master cylinder with brake fluid and locating the caliper or wheel cylinder with the furthest distance to the master cylinder. Open the bleed valve and instruct your helper to press the brake pedal until it reaches the floor. Close the valve, then let your helper release the pedal. Repeat this process until you see no more air bubbles coming out of the valve. Move onto the next farthest brake caliper or wheel cylinder and repeat the process until you have finished bleeding all four brakes.
