How to Clean Your Vacuum Hose for Optimal Performance
To clean a vacuum hose, first unplug the vacuum and remove the hose from both the vacuum and the attachment. Shake out any loose dirt and debris, then use a long, flexible brush or an old toothbrush to gently scrub the inside of the hose. Alternatively, a lint roller or duct tape can be used to pick up any dirt or debris. To thoroughly clean the hose, soak it in a solution of warm water and mild soap for several hours, then rinse and air dry before reattaching it to the vacuum.
